Today was Janessa's birthday and because we like her so much we decided to take her on a little birthday outing. The kids were so excited to take her to a local shaved ice place.

Bubble dress/ shirt
I found this cute tutorial to make a bubble dress. I still had some fabric laying around so I decided to make it for Emilie. Well the measurements of the tutorial were a little of (in my opinion). It was more like a shirt. I would have kept if the neck wasn't so tight on Emilie so we gave it to baby Rebekah and I will be making a new one for Emilie.

Another one..
We lost another tooth. The two teeth next to the front tooth that already came out are also loose so it might be quite a sight if those come out soon;)

Ballerina princess
Elizabeth is getting ready to start her dance classes next week. As we were buying her a leotard Emilie got quite excited to imitate her. When we got home we looked in our dress up box and this is what we found. She was quite proud wearing it.

Silly glasses
Emilie started this and the rest followed. They loved putting on the glasses making crazy faces and then looking at their pictures and just laugh.
We have gotten the hammock out and the kids have loved it. Elizabeth loves to do her school reading in it and just relax. The others just love to hang out.

Scooter
The kids love their scooters. Emilie tends to just take off and do her own thing so we follow and bring her back which she does not like.
Don't ask about the half clothed kids. ;) Can't give an explanation. Hahaha.

Swimming Lessons
One of Jane and Marlynn's neighbors has a swimming pool so when we found out they were doing lessons I decided to sign the kids up. I signed both Elizabeth and Thomas up. Thomas is still quite young but since they were so cheap I thought it would be fun to give him some fun time in the water and maybe he would learn something.
We started with Thomas and after the first day he decided he was done and did not want to go back in the water. The idea of putting his head in and blowing bubbles did not go well. Well we continued and he did fabulous. I ended up signing him up for another week and a half and he loved it. It started with him not wanting to go in to him not wanting to get out and going down all the time. He has learned to swim underwater and not plug his nose anymore. He is become a little fish. He has even gone of the dive board without any floaties.
Elizabeth took a week of lessons. But they were so nice to let her just swim during Thomas' lessons which really helped her with her confidence. She went from not wanting to go in the deep without flippers to being able to jump in without flippers and jump of the dive board and swim to the side which has been huge accomplishment. She feels so much more confident and so do I.
We have been able to take her to seven peaks and she feels completely confident by herself.
Emilie was just frustrated the whole time because she could not go in the water so finally they said if I wanted to I could swim with her during the lessons. She was in heaven. This girl LOVES the water and has absolutely no fear. She just jumps in and doesn't care if she goes under. I might put her in some lessons next year.

City Creek
We hadn't seen the new City Creek mall in Salt Lake City yet so since Bruce flew in this morning from a business trip we decided to pick him up from the airport and then visit City Creek. It was a beautiful mall and they even have H&M.
The kids loved playing in the water after we were done and the girls were soaked. Thomas never really got wet because he couldn't stand the heat and ended up hiding in the shade most of the time.
Ward Bike Parade
The bike parade started at 9 am and it was already HOT. The kids first decorated their bikes and by the time we were ready to start Thomas was already too hot to ride his bike. He ended up sitting in the bike stroller with Emilie and I attached to bike to the stroller and pulled everyone along. They had fun.
