Serving spoon/ Opschep lepel

This is what a 3-year old looks like when she insists on eating her breakfast with a spoon that is at least three times the size of her mouth.

FYI

Elizabeth announced the following to me this morning:

"Mom, I am the new artist of America"

So here is some of her work (from this morning):

She told me that she tried to paint the word HAD but that she didn't do the letters in the right order (ADH).

Bye bye

As of Monday Thomas is officially done with his helmet. His head shape looks so much better.

Spilling the beans

(Ward Chrismas Party 2007)

When Elizabeth joined our family we discussed whether or not to do Santa with our children and we decided against it. We have always told her that Santa is not real and but that it is fun to pretend and still talk about it. She is almost four and on and asks regularly if Santa is real since she sees it all around her. We keep telling her he isn't and that we buy her presents.
On Monday Elizabeth was playing with her cousins Harrison (age 10) and Nathan (age 6). This is how the conversation went:

Harrison: What is Santa going to bring you this year?
Elizabeth: Santa is not real.
Harrison: Yes, he is real. He gives you presents.
Elizabeth: No, mommy and daddy buy the presents.

Well guess who still believes in Santa... Nathan. He was standing next to them listening to the conversation. Oops!

Luckily Ellen thinks he still believes and that Elizabeth didn't completely spill the beans but this might be the beginning of the end.

BEWARE around my daughter because she will apparently tell you the way it is.....

Dancing Queen and King

We have this little electric piano that Elizabeth likes to play and today she turned on the pre-programmed music (oh how lovely!) It was quite cute to see both of them "dance" to the music. The video is a little dark but it will get somewhat lighter towards the end. Enjoy!

Sleeping Beauty/ Doornroosje

Why would I even need clothes for this girl. Daddy got her this Sleeping Beauty outfit on Saturday and that has been all that she's been wearing ever since. She loves the crown and the slippers (not shown in the picture).
