Elizabeth got a cute art set with princesses to color from my brother for her birthday. She asked me if she could color the princesses today. The set came with markers and I am not a big fan of those but I agreed she could use them. We discussed the "marker rules" which are the following:
1. Markers are not used on the ground
2. Markers are not used on clothing
3. Markers are not used on hands
THEY ARE ONLY USED ON PAPER
She starts to color and then after a few minutes I hear the following:
E: Mom I have markers on my hand
Me: Why do you have them on your hands
E: I'm washing them so it's ok.
Me: Why did you color on your hands?
E: Because I forgot they were hands!
